Hello everyone! I am an experienced, qualified English teacher from the UK. I speak Spanish to an intermediate level, and a little Greek and Arabic. I have a first class bachelors degree in English Literature and Sociology from The University of Leeds in the UK.
I have experience teaching all levels from children as young as 5 years old to proficiency level students. I have taught many different exam boards including IELTS, Cambridge, Trinity and Michigan so I can prepare you for your exams.
For higher level students, I can help you with accent reduction and if you are taking the proficiency exam I can prepare you for speaking and listening. Being familiar with unusual English expressions, phrasal verbs and slang is what will make you "ace the test" so having a native speaker as your tutor is very important for this.
My lessons are tailor made for my students. In the initial classes we can discuss your weak areas and I can evaluate what grammatical or pronunciation areas we need to work on.
Most importantly, my classes are fun and inspiring. I can come to your house, or you can come to me if you live in the Thessaloniki area. In addition I do online classes.
I am an English native speaker who has experience teaching English as a foreign language to a range of different students. I have taught many different students the various exam boards so I know what you need to do to succeed in the exam. My lessons are organized and structured but also fun and inspiring. I'm a friendly person who will quickly make you feel comfortable in the classroom.
I have been teaching professionally for 2 years. I currently teach in a language school in Thessaloniki but I'm looking to take on some private students.
Teaching is so rewarding! I am very lucky that my native language is English and that it is an International Language so everyone wants to learn it. It is amazing that I can pass my language on to other people, to watch them become more confident and then achieve what they want in English - a pass exam, go traveling, or study abroad. Learning English is empowering and gives you so many opportunities: it is a privilege that I can give this to others.
Please be honest with me about why you want to learn English, what are your motivations ect? When we first meet I will give you a brief and informal assay of your English ability and we can discuss what you find difficult, how many lessons you would like and the best way you can learn. If you want to take an exam, I would probably recommend that you take a practice test to see where your level is.
