Fluent/near native English speaker with experience in teaching at schools or one-on-one sessions. I am experienced in working with children and adults of different ages and ethnicities, as well as in working with learning and behavioural difficulties. I am originally from Greece, but based in the Netherlands, so our sessions will be online. I can do the lessons in English (using the communicative language method), Greek or Dutch.
Thanks to my background in media production, I am always interested in approaching teaching with new, fresh and creative ideas that help the student love the language. By combining the communicative language method with interactive games and activities, I ensure that my students become skillful in the use of English within the school or outside the home communities. Being a teacher at a high school in the Netherlands, with classes of up to 32 students, has helped me be an encouraging and motivating teacher to all of my unique students.

I started teaching in one-on-one lessons in my early 20s, whilst studying media. Some years later this became more than just a side job. I decided to follow my new passion in a professional school setting and study at the English Teacher Education programme in the Netherlands.
Understanding the educational needs of a student is not something that can be achieved in just one lesson. However, by ensuring a calm and safe learning environment for my students, I contribute in a "quicker" identification of these needs, usually within the first 2-3 lessons.
