1. Lead easy steps for beginners.
I deeply understand the difficulty and fear of beginners. I help students to be confident and get interested so learning can be easier.
2. Deep understanding in Korean culture.
As Korean, I have deep understanding in Korean culture. Language is the part of the country’s culture. It’s important to understand the culture to use the language better. I teach based on the culture so the student’s can learn deeply.
3. Active interaction
Just listening to the teacher’s speaking is hard to improve the language skill. Active interaction between the student and the teacher is effective. So, I put this in priority and plan the class.
I've been teaching Korean for 1 year to the Greek student. Not only teaching Korean in theory but also teaching practical Korean, I led the student to feel confident and fun. I provided an explanation in detail so the student could truly understand and make it oneself. And I think practicing Korean in various ways is important. So I let the student listen, speak, and write frequenlty to get familiar with the language.
Thankfully, the student was satisfied with the class and experienced the development of the Korean.
Watching students improve is wonderful experience. It’s great to meet the new student and let them find the joy of learning Korean. I hope the students get interest and eager to learn more.
I try to make students more participating to the class. Not only listening, but also reading, and writing by oneself. Using various senses is helpful to learn the language. And planning the class for student’s to feel interest is important. We shouldn’t feel too serious of learning new language. It should be fun and interesting. Also I understand that every student has different needs when it comes to learning, so I'm trying to be a flexible teacher.
