I am offering lessons in Swedish for kids and adults, to improve speaking and writing abilities.
Having Swedish as my first language, I can offer a broad variety of ways to introduce you to the language. You will have the opportunity to learn how to speak and write in Swedish, as the language is currently being used. We can focus on a general understanding or perfecting your accent, writing formal letters or getting the melody right - what you would like to focus on is up to your choosing!
If you are looking for a job in Sweden, I can prepare you for the different ways of speaking. For instance how to reply in a job interview or different ways to approach a work meeting. If you want your child to learn the language, we can start through traditional songs or other creative means to learn more.
I have just finished four years at Lunds university in Sweden, studying theatre with a bachelor’s degree in scriptwriting. During those years I have spent a substantial amount of time on translating texts for my studies. I have worked in both preschool and school. I speak three languages fluently, Swedish English and Dutch, and I am proficient in Danish an Norwegian.
I chose teaching because I come from a multilingual family. I myself know the value of keeping up with a second or third language. As a kid I also had language lessons in order to feel comfortable speaking to my extended family. I managed to keep close relationships through my broadened knowledge of that language. I understood the general benefits of knowing more languages and it’s a funny coincidence that I’m currently learning Greek in order to be able to communicate with my partner! I want to pass the great opportunity of learning a language on.
